The Bug Doctor was founded in 1987 as Budget Pest Control by Dave and Donny Oswalt. The company became a valuable member of the north Alabama community and continued so until Dave’s death in 2006. At that time his son, Donny, took over the company and re-named the organization, The Bug Doctor. The company has since undergone a complete transformation to position itself as the leader in pest control for North Alabama.
The Bug Doctor name originates from Donny’s educational background. Donny holds a bachelors degree in Integrated Pest Management from Auburn University, a Master’s Degree in Entomology from Auburn, and Doctoral degree in Entomology from Clemson University. The Company presently is owned and operated by Donny and Marsha Oswalt.
The key to success in any pest management program is to have quality, thoroughly trained people. The Bug Doctor continually trains our service technicians in the most effective, but safest methods of controlling unwanted pests.
